När du köper begagnade vinylskivor av Djungel & Jazz ska du alltid känna dig trygg i vårt utlåtande av produktens skick. Normalt säljer vi inga vinylskivor där skivan understiger skicket VG, däremot kan vi sälja fodral med något lägre betyg, med argumentet att man inte lyssnar på fodral.

Majoriteten av våra skivor är visuellt graderade. I många fall är skivan även provlyssnad och det som rör vinylskivans skick finner du i kommentaren. Om behov finns, tvättar vi skivan i vår ultraljudstvätt och lägger den i en ny antistatisk innerficka.

Vi försöker alltid att nämna de detaljer och avvikelser som är väsentliga att känna till kring varje enskild vinylskiva. Läs gärna kommentarerna för en motivering till vår gradering av den specifika vinylskivan.

• Mint (M)
  Absolut perfekt på alla sätt. Har troligen aldrig blivit spelad, möjligtvis till och med fortfarande förseglad.

  
  
• Near Mint (NM eller M-)
  En NM eller M- skiva har förmodligen nästan aldrig spelats och vinylen kommer att spela helt felfritt, utan några störningar under uppspelningen. Vi är sparsamma med högre betyg än detta och då vi anser att ingen skiva någonsin är helt perfekt. Skivan ska inte visa några tydliga tecken på slitage.
  
  Möjliga tecken på lätt hantering kan förekomma. Ett LP-omslag bör inte ha veck, vikar, sprickor i sömmarna, utstansade hål eller andra märkbara liknande defekter.

  
  
• Very Good Plus (VG+)
  En skiva i detta skick kommer att visa vissa tecken på att den spelats och hanterades av en tidigare ägare som tog väl hand om den. Eventuella brister ska vara av kosmetisk karaktär och inte påverka uppspelningen i någon större grad. Skivytorna kan visa vissa tecken på slitage och kan ha små repor eller mycket lätta repor som inte påverkar lyssningsupplevelsen. Små avvikelser som inte påverkar ljudet är "okej". Etiketten kan ha viss ringformad nötning eller missfärgning, men det ska vara knappt märkbart. ”Spindle-märken” kan förekomma.

  
  Omslag och innerfickor kommer att ha något slitage, något uppåtvikta hörn eller en liten spricka i någon söm. Ett LP-fodral kan visa lätta tecken på slitage och kan vara märkt av en utstansad hål, en intryckning eller ett klippt hörn. I allmänhet, om det inte vore för ett par små saker som är fel med det, skulle det istället vara NM/M-.

  
  
• Very Good (VG)
  Många av de brister som finns i en VG+-skiva kommer att vara mer påtagliga i en VG-skiva. Ytbrus kan vara tydligt när du spelar den, särskilt i lugna stycken, under inledning och uttoning av en låt, men kommer inte att överrösta musiken. ”Groove wear” börjar märkas, liksom lätta repor som går att känna med en nagel som kan påverka ljudet. 

  
  Etiketter kan vara slitna av skrift eller ha tejp eller klistermärken (eller deras rester) fastsatta. Samma sak gäller bildfodral eller LP-fodral. Dock kommer den inte att ha alla dessa problem samtidigt.

  
  
• Good Plus (G+) & Good (G)
  En skiva i detta skick kan spelas igenom utan att ge ”skips”. Den kan ha betydande ytbrus, repor och synligt ”groove wear”. Även om skivan kan spelas utan ”skips”, kommer märkbart ytbrus och klickande ljud med säkerhet förekomma.

  
  Ett fodral eller ett innerfodral kommer troligen att ha sprickor i sömmarna, särskilt längst ner eller på ryggen. Tejp, skrift, ringformad nötning eller andra brister kommer att finnas.

  
  
• Poor (P) & Fair (F)
  Skivan kan vara sprucken, kraftigt skev och kan inte spelas igenom utan att hoppa över eller upprepa sig. Djungel & Jazz säljer inte skivor med denna gradering.

  
  Bildomslaget är troligen vattenskadat, sönderdelat längs alla tre sömmar eller kraftigt förstört av slitage och skrift. LP-omslaget håller knappt LP:n inne. Innerfickor är sönderslitna, skrynkliga och nedklottrade.

  
  
• Generic
  Termen Generisk ges till skivomslag som inte har något tryck. Oftast enfärgade helt svarta eller vita. Ibland med ett hål som visar skivans etikett på båda sidor.
